The Broker by Schroeder: One watch - Seven time zones
The family-owned Schroeder Joailliers of Luxembourg has a long history dating all the way back to 1877. Official suppliers to the Court of the Grand Duke of the world's only Grand Duchy, the jewelry house has not merely stuck to retailing established top-end brands but rather also focused efforts on creating its own eponymous lines of jewelry and timepieces. The latter gained international recognition through Instagram in 2014 with its mechanical skeleton collection, and they have since released several more models. In this article we will present you with The Broker, their most recent horological novelty.

The Broker is a watch for the jet-setters of the world. Its purpose is to aid those who travel frequently between time zones by giving a constant oversight of the actual time in 7 locations: New York (GMT -5), Luxembourg (GMT +1), Moscow (GMT +3), Dubai (GMT +4), Shanghai (GMT +8), Tokyo (GMT +9), and whichever time zone the owner sets the main hands to. These locations might seem like a random selection, but they are the places where the Schroeder brand is officially represented and thus carry a special meaning.

Featuring the well-known ETA 6497 movement also used by Panerai in their Radiomir and Luminor ranges, The Broker comes in two versions: polished steel and rose gold PVD. Both feature elegant blued hands that contrast nicely with the beautiful white guilloched dials, and have a case size that is on the larger end (45mm). They come on blue and brown leather 22mm straps with butterfly clasps.

The guilloche, black roman numerals, blued hands, and a symmetrical and well-spaced dial make this a very aesthetically appealing watch. What's even more appealing is the price range: 2550€ and 2850€ (all taxes included) for the steel and rose gold PVD versions respectively.
