The Ferrari Testarossa, a true classic coveted by many a car collector. We were lucky enough to be able to shoot 4 impeccable specimens at Joe Macari in London late last year. Here are some pictures for your enjoyment!
The Testa Rossa went into production in 1985, succeeding the Ferrari Berlinetta Boxer, and instantly received popular acclaim. It has since become symbolic of the 80s, known to many as the car of Miami Vice's 3rd, 4th and 5th seasons. What I, along with many others, love about this car are the aggressive side strakes and the pop-up headlights. The former are deliciously in view in the image above, where I am stepping out in Lord Loafers' brown Belgians.
Some of you might wonder "is the Testarossa second from left missing a side mirror?". It is not thankfully, the early models were created with a single driver-side high mirror often referred to as the "flying mirror". I personally prefer the lower, two-sided rear mirror versions but there's no denying the "flying mirror" adds an extra touch of uniqueness. We hope you've enjoyed these images, until next time!
