Run To Ibiza
What happens when you combine fast cars, the finest hotels, scenic routes, exquisite timepieces, and great company? You get the Run to Ibiza. We’ve tried our best to capture the rush of this experience in the video above and images below, we hope you enjoy them as much as we enjoyed living this experience.
Lisbon, Portugal. Starting location of the Run. This was the view from the terrace of our hotel Palacio Belmonte, a 15th Century palace turned luxury hotel nestled in Lisbon's hillside.
Padrão dos Descobrimentos. A monument on the northern bank of the Tagus River estuary dedicated to Portugal's Age of Discovery. This was a starting location for the books.
Aventador S. A V12 engine supplying 740 horse power, our car of choice for the week's 1400+ kilometres of scenic routes. The other cars on the run weren't half bad either! Machines let loose on open roads to do exactly what they were made to do, these were not mere garage queens. A thrilling experience.
Sevilla, Spain. We stayed at the Alfonso XIII, a historic hotel in the heart of a stunning city which I highly recommend to anyone visiting. My only regret is how little time we spent here, I will definitely be back.
Push to start. The Roger Dubuis Aventador S, fruit of the brand's very successful partnership with Lamborghini, was the perfect watch for these drives.
Hacienda Na Xamena. Our hotel in Ibiza, a bucket list hotel that I had seen on Instagram countless times before, was every bit as epic as I expected it to be. The sunset views were spectacular. How did we get here from mainland Spain? We took a chartered jet from a military airport in Albacete. As you do.
Roger Dubuis Excalibur Skeleton Gold. Our last day in Ibiza was spent yachting around Formentera, where I realised I need the gold version of my Roger Dubuis as my next watch. So, back to bad weather and work I go to make this possible! We hope you enjoyed our pictorial of what was an incredible experience.
