Four Seasons Resort Marrakech
In January we wanted to make a temporary escape from the European winter cold, and ended up choosing the city of Marrakech in Morocco. We could not have chosen better: the temperatures were pleasantly hovering around 25 degrees celsius during the day, the skies were cloudless, and the sights, colours, smells, and tastes experienced in the city itself were unforgettable.
After such a great experience at the Four Seasons in Los Angeles, we decided the Four Seasons Resort in Marrakech would be our hotel of choice for the small escapade. The villas of the resort were surrounded by immaculately kept palm tree gardens and beautiful large swimming pools in an atmosphere of total tranquility. The staff was very friendly and attentive, the rooms and bathroom spacious, and the restaurants top notch (the chef even came out to greet us personally to ask us for our palate preferences). All in all we could not have chosen better.
We have added some images from our trip below for your viewing pleasure, we hope you enjoy them and highly recommend Marrakech and the Four Seasons there for the next time you are feeling a bit Vitamin D deficient!
Here I am having a relaxing waterpipe poolside just as the sun has started it descent. I am wearing the Kaff velvet slippers by Maksters which feature the famous Hamsa design.
On my wrist during the whole trip was this novelty by Luxembourg jewelers Schroeder: the Broker with a dial that features 7 time zones, a perfect travel watch! The 6 cities on the dial were chosen because the brand has a strong presence in each of them.
We stopped by the rooftop restaurant Nomad in the old Medina (city), lunch was excellent and the surrounding the rooftops, though not very glamorous, were definitely a sight to behold.
